CFR Engineering recently completed important CFRP structural strengthening works at Bell Place and Gibraltar Crescent North.
Structures originally assessed at 7.5 tonne, but Surrey County Council required them to support up to 40 tonne of traffic loading. Installation of CFRP plates and wraps provided ideal solution. Delivering a strong, durable, and efficient method to meet increased load requirements while extending life of the structures.
Bell Place
Upgraded structure from 7.5 t to 40 t capacity using Sika carbon-reinforced plates with high-performance epoxy adhesive.
Gibraltar Crescent North
Enhanced load capacity from 7.5 t to 40 t using Sika FRP wraps for excellent confinement and long-term reinforcement.
